Intermediate Belly DancingMusic & DanceContinue your Middle Eastern dance journey in this intermediate-level class for students with prior experience. The level 2 curriculum focuses on refining beginning level moves, new techniques with more attention to dance combinations and transitions, musicality, and developing skills with finger cymbals. Intermediate and Advanced Ceramics (Pottery program)ArtWaitlistThis course is for returning students who have previously taken ceramic courses. Students should have previous knowledge of the clay process, wheel throwing, and hand building. This course is an opportunity for students who are interested in setting individual goals. Goals can be based on creating artworks of self-proposed works with support from an instructor. Students will be encouraged to develop a plan for their time in the studio and will be supported in fulfilling that plan throughout the session. Additionally, and per the class’ progress, more advanced wheel and hand building demonstrations will be provided. Attendance is important. Students are expected to bring their own clay tools. Intro to 3D Printing & CADElementary EnrichmentThis 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will be designing a keychain, and the 3D print will be mailed home. No experience is necessary, but familiarity with doing common tasks using a computer and keyboarding is required. Fees listed include printing fee for one project. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones DO NOT Work. Join me for a fun introduction to fly fishing with basic beginner information including the fundamentals of casting a fly rod. You’ll learn basic fly rod, reel & line information and the principles behind equipment sizing, line design, how to set up your rod and the necessary steps for effective casting. We’ll cover the grip, wrist and arm control and proper line pick-up & lay-down. Four different casts will be taught, and you will leave with the basics to get you started on your new journey into the wonderful world of flyfishing. Junior High Ski and Snowboard ClubMiddle School EnrichmentThe Ski Club package includes 4 nights of skiing or snowboarding at Afton Alps in Hastings. It also includes bus and lift tickets. Students must ride the bus to and from Afton. Food can be purchased from the Chalet or brought from home. Ski equipment can be stored at school the morning of each trip. Students will meet the bus at the main school door after school. All students must be picked up at the Royal Athletic Center at the end of the night by 10:00 PM. Please ensure that you pick up your child on-time. If a student registers for Bus Only, they will not be provided a lift ticket or rentals. They must provide their own lift ticket.
