Dr. Bethany Brausen (Kozak) (she/her), PT, DPT, OCS, Run Coach
Founder | Tempo Physical Therapy & Running Performance

I am a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and former Division 1 track and cross-country athlete specializing in running and pelvic health. After earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and completing an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency, I founded Tempo Physical Therapy & Running Performance to bridge the gap between rehab and performance. Having experienced multiple bone stress injuries myself as a runner, I deeply understand the frustration of being sidelined. This sparked my mission to help others reduce injury risk and return to the activities they love. My individualized, goal-oriented approach focuses on movement optimization, hands-on techniques, and effective loading. As a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, I am also committed to supporting Tribal Nations and the land we run and live on.
