[L,D] DAY 2 - Wednesday, October 7, 2026 After breakfast, your guide will take you to the hand carved Norwegian Bjorklunden Chapel. Have lunch at Al Johnson's Restaurant. This unique complex of buildings from Sweden invites exploration. The sod roof is kept well-trimmed by goats. This afternoon tour Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. It is perched on a bluff 76 feet above Green Bay’s glistening waters. Hear stories of the keepers who ran the light from 1868 to 1926. It is furnished with original and authentic period antiques. Tonight, a Fish Boil dinner is included, then spend the evening at Peninsula Players Theatre. It is America’s oldest professional resident summer theater. [B,L,D] DAY 3 – Thursday, October 8, 2026 Have breakfast at the hotel and meet your Door County tour guide. In Northport, WI, board the Washington Island Ferry. Take the five-mile ride across the once-treacherous waters of Death’s Door, where Green Bay and Lake Michigan meet. Once ashore on Washington Island, embark on a tour with sightseeing hosted by the 600 residents who call the island home. Visit some attractions and have lunch. Ferry back to Northport and visit the Lavender Shop in Ephraim. Have a relaxing dinner at an area restaurant. It covers the history of boat and shipbuilding for over 150 years, and contains antique ship equipment, recovered sunken artifacts and other sailing items, logs and charts. Breakfast Buffet Menu: Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Yogurt, Fruit, Breakfast Potatoes, Pastries, Coffee, Milk. 12:00 p.m. Leave Axel’s Restaurant. 12:15 p.m. Arrive at the St. Paul European Christmas Market, located at the East Plaza of Union Depot. (The motor coach will dropped off passengers in front of the Union Depot terminal at 240 E Kellogg Blvd.) This puts guests right at the stairs entrance (outdoors) or near the entry doors to escalators. Go up one floor and then out to the "East Plaza." The European Christmas Market in St. Paul is the most authentic traditional holiday market of its kind in Minnesota, offering a unique shopping experience, family-friendly entertainment & intercultural activities. It is a festive open-air Christkindl Markets that spring up in Germany, Austria, and other European countries during the Advent season. Shop for handmade European crafts or unique gifts from local vendors, purchase Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), and taste European inspired delicacies. Dress warm for this spacious outdoor event. Murder Mystery at Afton HouseTrips and TravelMURDER MYSTERY at AFTON HOUSE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2026 9:15-9:30 a.m. Arrive at the Eisenhower Community Center and meet your host for check-in at the front entrance Welcome Desk. 9:45 a.m. Leave from the Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Hwy. 7, Hopkins, MN. The bus should park in front of door A. 11:00 a.m. Arrive in the tiny village of Afton, MN at the historic Afton House Inn overlooking the St. Croix River Valley where you will be seated in the Wheel Room or Pennington Room. This modern property is filled with antique ambiance. Upon arrival, guests will receive their parts for the murder mystery play. In the process of removing suspicion from yourself, you question or point to others with motive and opportunity. During this two hour of non-stop laughter and mystery solving you will be served a luncheon. (You can be an onlooker or participant in solving the mystery.) Menu: Rosemary Roasted Pork Loin with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, a Rosemary Demin Glaze, Fresh Vegetables, Rolls & Butter, Coffee or Hot Tea, Dessert. 1:00 p.m. After the mystery is solved, take a few minutes to look around this delightful property. TAYLORS FALLS BOAT CRUISE ITINERARY 8:45 a.m. Leave from the Eisenhower Community Center (1001 Hwy. 7, Hopkins, MN). The bus should park in front of Door A (School Entrance). 10:00 a.m. Arrive at Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours to board the boat. Water levels will determine accessibility. [Those who cannot manage stairs can be transported by golf cart from the motor coach down to the boat landing. There are 20 steps down the staircase from the bus to the boat. Ask staff for assistance. They will be available to give directions and help anyone who has difficulty getting from where the bus drops off passengers down to the boat.] 11:00 a.m. Depart on the 80-minute public cruise. Since 1906, thousands of tourists have enjoyed the scenic beauty of the world-famous Dalles (Dells) of the St. Croix River by authentic paddlewheel boat. The unique rock formations are highlighted by the narration by the crew. The view inspires awe, not just for its beauty but also for the provision of this river that is sculpted through ancient volcanic rock. The Ojibwa, Dakota and Fox people revered the land. Trappers and traders glided in canoes and Bateaux between the basaltic walls they called dalles. Courageous early settlers built a riverside town where steam navigation stopped. This cruise provides a picture postcard view that will not soon be forgotten. Have a sack luncheon prepared by the boat company catering team.
