Introduction to Flyfishing and Beginner Casting
Interested in learning about flyfishing, fly casting and experiencing the mental health benefits that this sport offers? Join me for a fun introduction to fly fishing with basic beginner information including the fundamentals of casting a fly rod. You’ll learn basic fly rod, reel & line information and the principles behind equipment sizing, line design, how to set up your rod and the necessary steps for effective casting. We’ll cover the grip, wrist and arm control and proper line pick-up & lay-down. Four different casts will be taught, and you will leave with the basics to get you started on your new journey into the wonderful world of flyfishing.
All equipment will be provided - That said, if you own your own fly rod, please DO bring it with you to class.
